Veranstaltung in Graz : "SALOON Vienna"

KünstlerIN:
Aline Lara Rezende, Julia Hartmann, Doris Richter

Zeitraum: 17.09.2020

The women's network SALOON Vienna is coming to the Künstlerhaus, Halle für Kunst & MEdien. The network consists of women working as curators, artists, designers, cultural managers, and journalists as well as in galleries, museums, cultural institutions, and universities. The name refers to the former male domains of the Salon de Paris and the Saloons of the Wild West. The monthly Saloons pick up both ideas: members present their works, projects, and exhibitions and visit renowned artists, curators, exhibitions, galleries, museums, and other protagonists of the Viennese art scene. Each Saloon has the goal to foster exchange and dialogue between Viennese institutions and Saloon members and to connect practitioners of all fields of art with each other. There will be possibility to exchange and network on this evening at the Künstlerhaus. Aline Lara Rezende, Doris Richter, and Julia Hartmann will talk to curator Jana Franze about networking and the significance of women's networks in the arts. The following dinner further functions as interpersonal exchange.
The SALOON in Vienna is run by Aline Lara Rezende, Julia Hartmann, and Doris Richter since 2017 and is counting over 90 members. The SALOON has dependences in nine other cities in Europe and Israel.
