Kadie Schmidt-Hackenberg, * 1968 in Ludwigsburg
For a number of years I have been constantly developing my "Stadtbilder", or cityscapes, which deal with the urban affectivity of modern times. I don't create images of real cities in the sense of realistic depictions. Instead, I approach the "phenomenon of the city" sociologically, because my focus is on the relationship between people and urban space.
My cityscapes are large-format, digital collages in which I combine painting, drawing and photography in one piece.
