Über die Arbeit/ Zur Person
Bunte, kräftige Farben, nicht perfekte Linien und Formen sowie die Ausstrahlung von Lebensfreude sind schon immer Bestandteil meiner Kunst. Ich benutze vorwiegend Acrylfarben und das sehr grosszügig. Meine Skulpturen sind meistens aus Beton.

Künstler-Statement:
I can best tell the story of my life with Shapes, lines and colors. Everything blends together and not one event stands out alone. It is all connected. Life happens and all we can do is decide to laugh or cry. The colorful visual language I use in my abstracts erupts from my joy, intensity, humor, and anxiety. When I paint my own little catastrophes and victories I hope to show the viewer those ups and downs in life that we all share, the vibrant color and chaos that sits with us through our day-to-day, our own quiet and crazy thoughts that hang on the walls of our consciousness as we go through time and space. I paint with acrylics and fluorescents then add elements to add depth and create reflections. I like varying the thickness of the paint and moving the canvas to create a pouring effect. I want to express movement and flow and make the observer want to touch the art.

Künstlerischer Werdegang/ Lebenslauf:
Geboren bin ich 1960 in Ottawa, Kanada und in einer kreativen Familie aufgewachsen.
Studiert habe ich an der Akademie für Kommunikation und Design in Frankfurt am Main, an Malerei-Kursen in Toronto am Ontario College of Art, sowie an Kursen für Aktzeichnen an der Städel Abendschule in Frankfurt teilgenommen. Gearbeitet habe ich als Illustratorin und Grafikdesignerin, seit 2016 unterrichte ich Kunst an der Internationalen Schule Metropolitan School Frankfurt. -
